MY SERVICES
Where do we start?
To determine what tutoring services are appropriate for your child and to establish a baseline to measure progress, we'll need to do some initial testing. Testing will generally consist of 2 to 3 one hour sessions, administered in your home, my home, or a private space at a local library.
Tests administered include:
DIBELS (Dynamic Indicator of Basic Literacy Skills)
WADE (Wilson Assessment of Decoding and Encoding)
WIST (Word Identification and Spelling Test)
There may be additional testing if needed.
Flat fee for initial testing: $200
HOW IT WORKS
Tutoring Sessions
Each lesson consists of Word Study, Spelling/Writing, Fluency/Comprehension. Sessions will run 60 to 90 minutes long depending on the student and whether the session is conducted on line or in person.
If the Wilson Reading System(WRS) is determined to be the correct program, tutoring will start with lessons in the first step of the program. The pacing is based on the student’s needs. Some students may quickly pass through the first few steps of the program focused on learning techniques. Committed students may complete the program in two to three years. Individual progress varies based on their strengths.
Younger children will be placed in the Wilson Fundation program based on test results.

“I realize how critical this support is for a struggling reader and the earlier it is implemented by an instructor who fully devotes herself like Ann, with consistency and fidelity, is the key to a child’s success in literacy and their entire academic career. My kids became more confident with every milestone achieved with Ann.”
Alyson O., Parent
My son struggled with reading in second and third grade. As soon as Ann started working with him we saw tremendous progress with his phonics skills. He has really benefited from the Wilson Reading System program. Thanks to Ann, my son is making great strides in reading. She puts a great deal of effort and enthusiasm into every lesson.
